Welcome to The Salt Cave @ Newtown — a sanctuary for relaxation, healing, and balance. We kindly ask that all guests review the following information before their visit. These policies are designed to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone and to maintain the integrity and safety of our services.

General Information

  • No food or drink is permitted inside the salt caves. Drinks are only allowed in the Deluxe Room, and must be in a cup with a secure lid.

  • Please dress comfortably. In warmer months, light clothing is best.

  • Clean white or light-colored socks must be worn or changed into before entering the caves.

  • Our caves are a quiet space. Please refrain from talking or conversation during your session unless you have booked a private event or are in the Deluxe Room.

  • Electronic devices are not permitted in the caves. We encourage guests to leave devices in their car or in a cubby in the lounge. Salterra Wellness is not responsible for any damages caused by salt exposure.

  • Once a session begins, please remain in the cave unless it is an emergency. Guests who exit will not be permitted to re-enter. Please use the restroom prior to your session.

  • We cannot control if guests cough, sneeze, or snore during the session. For those preferring privacy, please inquire about our Private Deluxe Room or Private Services.

  • During children’s sessions, there is a limit of two children per adult.

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and may attend only during Kids Sessions. Please inquire for scheduling or special accommodations.

  • Please do not touch the salt walls, bricks, or décor. Salt is fragile and may be damaged.

  • No throwing or removing salt from the caves.

  • Do not attend sessions while sick. Guests who appear ill (flu, stomach virus, fever, etc.) will be asked to reschedule.

  • Salt therapy should be avoided during acute illnesses, including: flu, COVID, fever, infections, active tuberculosis, severe COPD, uncontrolled hypertension, or intoxication.

  • Please avoid strong scents, including heavy perfumes, essential oils, or lotions.

  • No smoking at least one hour before any service.

Cancellations

  • Standard Salt Sessions: Require 24 hours notice for cancellation.

  • Specialty Services & Private Groups/Parties: Require 48 hours notice for cancellation.

  • No-Call / No-Show: Will be charged the full amount of the service.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made after the required window will incur a cancellation fee.

Gift Cards

  • Treat your gift card like cash — lost or misplaced cards cannot be replaced.

  • To redeem, guests must provide the physical card or registry number.

  • Gift cards are non-refundable.

  • In accordance with Pennsylvania law, gift cards without an expiration date that remain unused for five years are considered abandoned/expired.

Prepaid Services, Events, Private Parties

  • In cases of natural disasters, weather-related closures, or other events beyond our control, a credit will be issued to redeem services at a later date.

  • Refunds are not issued. Credits are applied to the client’s account for future use.

  • All event tickets are non-refundable.

Packages

  • Salt Session Packages are non-transferable, non-refundable, and for individual use only.

  • Packages cannot be shared or split between guests.

  • Packages expire after 12 months from the purchase date.

Privacy

At The Salt Cave, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide a seamless wellness experience, including:

  • Contact details (name, email, phone number)

  • Booking details (service type, preferences, schedule)

  • Payment details, processed securely through third-party platforms

  • Communication history from forms, email, or inquiries

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Confirm and manage bookings

  • Process secure payments

  • Communicate schedule updates or important information

  • Improve our services and client experience

  • Meet legal or regulatory requirements

Payment Security

  • Payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant systems that encrypt your data.

  • Salterra Wellness does not store full credit card details on our servers.

  • Access to payment or personal information is limited to authorized staff only.

  • We take all reasonable precautions to ensure your information is protected from unauthorized access.

Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party partners (for scheduling, payments, or communications) who maintain strong privacy and data security standards.

Your Rights

You may request to view, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us at info@newtownsaltcave.com.

Policy Updates

From time to time, we may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes. The latest version will always be posted on our website.
